His Justice Will Be Done

Once a man was taken from
The safe security of home
And driven to a place
Where mignight soldiers dig the graves
What had he done nothing wrong
Just disagreed with what went on
He stood up and was counted
And refused to be a slave

But I can see him standing hand in hand
In heaven's promised land
With prophets and with angels
With the father and the son
Looking with compassion
And forgiveness on the world below
Certain in the knowledge
That his justice will be done

All around the world are more
Who fear the knock upon the door
The midnight soldiers call before
The breaking of the dawn
Praying in their beds they lie
The wives and mothers left behind
They pray the soldiers ever find
Their husbands and their sons
But I can see them standing hand in hand

Once a man was taken from
His place of work his earthly home
They nailed his body to a cross
And hung him up to die
What had he done nothing more
Than heal the sick and feed the poor
And tell his earthly brothers of
A loving God on high
But I can see them standing
