Hope's Return

One moment signalled Hope’s return
When God was born in human form
And though to Him all nature bows
In humble frailty He was found
All Heaven’s power is wrapped within
The fragile frame of history’s King
And death would tremble at the child
Who’d one day give His life for mine

The God who cried in infant guise
Would cry It’s finished at the sky
That baby born to break our curse
Has given us our second birth
The separation man instilled
Would end in prophecy fulfilled
That Jesus Christ would set men free
Redeeming our eternity
